I am Farzana Afzal, a businesswoman, political activist, writer, journalist and educator. I have been living in the UK for more than 30 years and noticed there is a dire need to provide knowledge on the political system of the UK and Europe and to raise awareness of the social issues in the west. As an ethnic minority myself, I believe this is especially needed in minority groups, who are not fully aware of their roles and responsibilities. Because of this, I began writing columns, and blogs and creating vlogs, with the aim to raise awareness, and educate but also entertain. After positive feedback and gaining publicity, I have now decided to take this a step further and form Creative Minds Media, a dedicated space for my audience and I, so that I can achieve my mission to help and strengthen minority groups and build a positive image of our communities in the West.
